CIR engages in continuous review of potential products and services for the alumni marketplace. We look for programs that bring value to alumni and generate increasing revenue for our alumni association clients. We have added research and development staff to assess the many programs that have been brought to us for consideration in the last 12 months.
We tested these programs and their providers against our selection criteria. A mortgage program was one of a few that passed the test. As insurance and marketing experts, we decided to bring in consultants with knowledge of the mortgage lending industry to assist us in evaluating our partner options.
We then met with the principals of the mortgage companies and toured their service centers. It was on our first visit to Quicken Loans that we knew our organizations shared common core values and it was on our second visit that we were certain they would exceed our clients' expectations.
